Student Portal 2026-2027

Welcome to the U.S.A

The GO Class of 2026-2027 (18 Students) traveled from their native countries (Czech Republic, Hungary, Lithuania, Poland, and Slovakia) and arrived on July 31 at the Chicago O'Hare International Airport.  Our 19th student arrived a day early and had the opportunity to ride the "yellow school bus" both to and from O'Hare; our 20th GO Student arrived during GO Arrival Orientation and 2 returning students from Ukraine arrived later in August. Students were warmly welcomed into Arrival Host Family homes for 2 days and then came together as a class ready to build community and prepare for their academic year in Wisconsin (20 students) and Nebraska (2 students). Building upon on what began at the July 2026 Summer Camp in Hungary, students participated in a 5-day Arrival Orientation.  Orientation provided students with information on life in U.S.A., i.e., living with an American family, attending an American Catholic high school, participating in the life of their parish and in their community while also getting to know each other - growing together as a class and learning how to be "young, dynamic, Catholic servant leaders". During orientation, the GO Students were involved in 2 service projects - the first at Paul's Pantry in Green Bay and the second assisting volunteers in the post tornado clean-up in Menasha. At the conclusion of the 5-day orientation, GO Students met their Host Families, attended a GO Welcome/Send-Off Mass and enjoyed a Potluck Supper at St. Gabriel the Archangel parish in Neenah before beginning their journey "home".

Our deepest gratitude to the GO Staff, GO Alumni, GO BOD Members, and Volunteers who graced our days through your sharing of time, talent, and treasures, making our 2026-2027 GO Class Summer Camp week and stateside orientation a blessed and successful experience.  Thank You!
