The Good News
Jesus loves you and He wants nothing more than for you to be with Him in Heaven someday. He loves you like one hundred mothers’ worth of love! Incomprehensible how much He loves you! And it is totally unconditional love! He loves you when you're good, He loves you when you're not so good. He has an amazing plan for your life and everyone's life! It is like we all won the lottery 100 times in a row to be here on earth! The only plausible explanation for it is that we're here because God put us here as part of that amazing plan he has so we can end up in Heaven with him someday.
Sometimes His plans for us get interrupted by our sins. But the good news is that Jesus died for our sins so they could be forgiven if we are sorry for them. He rose on the third day, ascended into Heaven and opened the gates to Heaven so we could all be with Him in Heaven someday. So, the first thing You need to do to get back on that amazing plan God has for you is every so often examine your conscience and make a list of your sins and when you're ready and you're sorry for them say a prayer to Jesus telling Him about each one of your sins and how you're sorry for them and He will forgive you.
Now with your sins forgiven the next thing you need to do to get back on that amazing plan God has for you is to strive to put Jesus at the center of your life. He asks you to radically reorient your life to him. He asks you to be baptized and receive the Holy Spirit, to become a part of His amazing family, the church. He asks you to be full disciples someday.
Do you know that everyone has a hole in their heart that only God can fill? And most everyone tries to fill it with anything but God. Things like a new car or the next big vacation you're going on, a promotion at work, the next big party you're going to. For the men the Packers winning the Super bowl and for the woman the next big family gathering that they're planning. Now there is nothing wrong with any of these it's just that they need to have their proper place, God needs to be higher priority than all of them. But oftentimes He is second, third, fourth, fifth priority or he's completely out of the picture altogether. Fill your heart with God and you will find lasting peace. Otherwise your happiness will be fleeting.
Do you know the most important Commandment? (Matthew 22:36-40) It is to love God with your whole heart your whole mind your whole soul and your whole strength basically with everything you've got! More than your spouse or your children or your grandchildren, or your parents or your siblings or all those earthly pleasures we just mentioned. And the second most important Commandment is to love your neighbor as yourself. So Just two Commandments to remember! Loving God and loving neighbor. Loving God takes care of the first three of the Ten Commandments and loving your neighbor takes care of the last seven.
Now the best way to love God is the strive to get yourself into Heaven. Do you know that God never sends anyone to Heaven nor sends anyone to hell? He gives us free will and we use it to choose either Heaven or hell. Those people who choose Heaven do it by loving God in real tangible ways, honoring Him, worshipping Him, praising Him, and giving thanks for His great glory, and by loving one's neighbor. And those people who choose Heaven do it by loving their neighbor in real tangible ways volunteering at food banks, or homeless shelters, or giving to the poor, or praying for your family and friends in need, or praying for disaster victims that you see on the news. Those people that choose Heaven also do it by being sorry for their sins, by believing in God and Jesus, and hoping to be with Him in Heaven someday. Those people who choose hell do it by rejecting God, ignoring their neighbors in need, not being sorry for their sins, and not believing in God, and Jesus, and not hoping to be with Him in Heaven someday.
Now if you go to church on Sunday, you don't go because your parents taught you to go or because you feel obligated to go. Instead, you go because you love God and you want to honor Him, and worship Him, and praise Him and glorify Him. And you also go to church to offer up your life as a sacrifice to God (that amazing plan He has for you!) but you should not consider this a sacrifice but rather an honor, a privilege, and a pleasure to do God's will for you each and every day.

Why should I be baptized?
Jesus gives the direct command to be baptized in Matthew 28:19. Known as the "Great Commission," he instructs his followers: "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit."
Additionally, Jesus highlights the importance of baptism in Mark 16:16, stating, "Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned." Earlier in his ministry, Jesus also set the personal example by being baptized by John the Baptist in the Jordan River to "fulfill all righteousness" (Matthew 3:13-15).
Following Jesus' resurrection and ascension, the apostles heavily reinforced this command. In Acts 2:38, the apostle Peter preaches, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins."
